  • My Bio
  • I came to Lucky's lake upon a recommendation from a girl swimming next to me at the downtown YMCA. In Jan 2017, my son entered me into a Bodybuilding.com 12-week Transformation Challenge where I have been able to lose over 50 lbs and 10 inches off my waist in 3 months. With a new lease on life and unfounded energy, at 52 yrs old, my goal to someday complete a triathlon became a passion. Hence my reason for taking up swimming at such a late age. Worried about how I would handle the "open water" swim portion of the tri, my new YMCA lane-mate suggested I check out, Lucky's Lake. This was this 22 yr old girl's exact quote, "Some rich doctor dude, who owns a lake down by Universal and invites anyone who is ready to come out an join him each morning." I thought she was joking. But here I am today, just completing my first round trip (though a one point I was wondering what the hell I got my self into). Thank you so much for being so nice and welcoming. You truly celebrated my accomplishment with me...didnt expect that.

Below is a cut paste of my personal and professional bio that will bore the hell out of you....

When I am not helping people solve their financial and real estate needs, I enjoy playing golf while coaching high school lacrosse and football. I was a founding member and served as the Vice President of the South Orlando Pop Warner Association for 11 years. Currently, I serve as the Chaplain for the Winter Garden American Legion Post 63 and sit on the scholarship committee for the Military Officers Association of America.
I was recently married to the former Lana Lenkoff in March and reside in Oakland, FL. I have two adult children and three step children. My son is a graduate of the University of South Florida with degrees in Business Management and Business Finance. My daughter recently graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Sports Marketing and minor in Business. My new step daughter is a Junior at Florida Gulf Coast Univ and my two step sons are attending West Orange High School.

After receiving both a Bachelor and Master of Engineering degree from the University of Florida, I served for 25 years with distinction as a United States Naval Civil Engineer Corps officer; retiring in 2007 at the rank of Commander. Upon my return from a 2-year deployment overseas fighting the War on Terrorism in 2003 where I was responsible for the design and construction of the $160M command center for the invasion into Iraq, I spent 7 years in the Commercial Real Estate brokerage industry closing over $300 million in real estate transactions. In 2010, my partner and I founded a Christian non-profit faith-based ministry to serve distressed homeowners called RHEMA Solutions. I also went on to earn my real estate Broker’s license and became the owner/broker for American Way Real Estate. In February of 2010, I entered the mortgage industry becoming a NMLS licensed mortgage consultant where I have closed over $25 million in VA, FHA, USDA, Jumbo, Conventional and Private money loans.
