When does Lucky’s Lake Swim season end?  Well, Never.  We swim year round, and what is baffling to our regular swimmers is why there is a drop off in numbers in October. The water is perfect high 70s- to low 80s, good visibility and the hot tub is going. So, what’s your excuse?

Wimped out and didn’t do the Zombie Cause® Swim because you were too scared? Well, here’s your chance to live vicariously by watching the video. Please veiw with a feeling of shame and guilt. The good news is that you can redeem yourself next year by participating, but until then you are dead to the zombie swimming community (pun not intended).

Volunteers Needed (Read Below)

The 2023 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships presented by Toyota will be held December 15 – 17, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. The Rosen Aquatic and Fitness Center will serve as the host venue. The national championships will feature the top Team USA Paralympic athletes and emerging Paralympic hopefuls.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with timing for both the morning and evening sessions, including basket carriers and USADA Doping Control Chaperones (Must be 18 years or older with no relationship to any competing athlete) for all evening sessions during the swim meet. No prior experience is necessary! There are six swimming sessions and we will need 20 volunteers in the morning, and 41 volunteers in the evening.

  • –  Session 1: Friday, December 15; 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • –  Session 2: Friday, December 15; 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • –  Session 3: Saturday, December 16; 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • –  Session 4: Saturday, December 16; 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • –  Session 5: Sunday, December 17; 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • –  Session 6: Sunday, December 17; 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
