Yes, we are swimming on Labor Day 7:45AM.  Will there be a hurricane, maybe.  How do you swim in a hurricane? Well first you have to get to the swim ,which sometimes is difficult since the roads are often closed.  Then you get in the water and start swimming. Now you know.

True Sweetser at the Pan Am games last month. Silver medalist in the 1500m. True is the Gold Medal winner in the Golden Mile and also the Golden Mile record holder. FYI those complaining that they can’t get in enough crossings on Saturday morning in 2 hours. True did 7 today and he started late.

Emergency surgery at Lucky’s Lake Swim this am. Rogue earbud burrows deep in ear canal. Steady hands and nerves of steel prevail. Lucky has put out a request for more ENTs to swim at the lake. Lucky says “normally I don’t like doing surgery with my eyes closed, but I really didn’t know what I was doing, so not looking calmed me down a bit and everything turned out fine. The earbud has been transferred to a shelter for wayward ear plugs and will be put up for adoption.  It is scheduled to be put down wednesday unless it gets a sponsor.

Kathleen and Jim both hit 800 crossings today. What’s the odds of that happening? Sounds like the beginning of a grudge match to 1000.

150 K club honors today to Sara Haugh. Congrats.
