It looks like the golden mile will close out within hours. Although the registration is open until midnight tomorrow that is a moot point because registration closes when we reach our cap of 300! If you have any Disney cast members thinking about doing the swim now is the time to push them to make their decision. Disney will match the entry fee for these cast members, because this is a charity event. All proceeds go to the Lake Cane Restoration Society which is a 501c corporation. REGISTER NOW!

I want to thank all the swimmers and coaches that helped me in tracking down a chaperone swimmer for one of our Special Olympians. Jesse will be able to race now. Our swimming community is wonderful!

A documentary crew will be filming the event. There will be drones. Please keep and eye on Ron and Lucky so they don’t photobomb every shot.
We have 8 or 9 “Lucky Time” prizes that will be given away during the awards ceremony. Random drawing of race times will be done so anybody could win but you must be present to win.
A reminder that hammerhead swim caps will be selling on site and their caps are race legal. They are bringing only a limited number so if you are going to purchase one do it quickly before they are all sold out. We have four sets of Najade fins which have been donated as “Lucky Time” prizes. These fins are incredibly fast and used in training, fin swimming races, Underwater hockey and Underwater Rugby. The fins retail for $140 a pair. They could be yours but you have to be present at the time of the drawing. BTW Najades are nymphs in Greek mythology that watch over springs, streams, rivers, swamps, ponds and lakes.
