Lots of folks have been asking about Dave Winslow’s father who fell at the Lake Swim on Saturday. He is doing fine now, YAY. They appreciated everyone’s help and prayers.
Here are all the holiday swim times.
Tuesday morning swim 6:30 am
Tuesday evening (July 3rd) Movie and Midnight swim (must watch the movie to get the
patch) Movie starts at 9:30pm and we swim after it finishes. Everyone must wear a lighted safe swimmer buoy (we have the lights and buoys).
The movie will be voted on at 9:25pm so if you want a vote be here by then. We will have popcorn and sodas (please no throwing food during the film, it disturbs people trying to take notes. Running commentary is encouraged during the film.
Wednesday (4th of July) Swim at 7:45am (we will be posting a photo of those that do the duo, Midnight and the next morning swim) and party at 5pm (bring something to throw on the grill and a side dish to share – BYOB) Bring your family and friends. We will have a giant water balloon fight and play water volleyball so bring a swim suit and towel. Fireworks at dark for the young kids.
Thursday and Friday 6:30am
Saturday 7:45am

Casey gets her 150K club cap and Tom has to return to her the $10 service charge for preforming the presentation. Bad Tom, you know we only charge 1st time swimmers that we don’t think we will ever see again.

If you like water balloon fights you have some definite aggression issues, but that’s okay because we will be having a big one at the part on July 4th. If you have never been in a water balloon fight fresh meat is always welcome. We provide the balloons you provide the target.
I want to thank everyone at Luckys who helped my95 year old father Alan out last Saturday. He likes to get out and stay active. When I told him I was going to Luckys to swim last Saturday, he said he wanted to go and watch. He als ways talks about the wonderful people he has met in the past and enjoyed watching “duck”, “digger”, “snickers”, the carp and turtles.
Fortunately, he had recovered and has returned home. It wasn’tt a heart attack or stroke. Apparently it was a blood pressure fluctuation which he has meds for now.
Thank you again.
I look forward to the next Luckys Lake swim (with a little less drama) next tine.
