Here are the updated holiday swim times:

Monday 7:45 am
Monday evening  Midnight Swim and movie  Movie starts at 9:30 PM swim to follow (see below for more midnight swim info)
Tuesday 4th of July  7:45 AM

Wednesday 6:30 AM back to the normal schedule.

4th of July party at Jacquie’s and Lucky’s  5 pm, bring your family, something to throw on the grill and a side dish to share. BYOB  We will have water and lemonade out but if you need something more refined then you are on your own to bring it with you.  We will have a giant water balloon fight Kids Versus Adults – you don’t want to miss this one.  Coin dive for kids (sorry Heff we know you think you are a big kid but you are banned from this event.)  Fireworks at dark. Cool.

Midnight swim.
You must watch the movie before you do the swim to get your patch.  Patches for swimmers that are doing the midnight swim for the first time. We will have lighted swim buoys and we are encouraging everyone to wear one this year, not only for safety but for the cool photo op as well. The movie will start at 9:30.  The choices are pictured below (sadly none have been nominated for any academy awards) and we will have a vote at 9:25 pm.  Everyone will be allowed one vote, except for Lucky who is banned this year due to his exceptionally bad choices in previous years.

Congratulations to True Sweetser.  True hold the fastest lake crossing time of 11:35.  True just won the USA national swimming Championships in the 1500m  (14:58) and made the USA World Championship team. Good Luck to True at Worlds. World trials can be seen Saturday and Sunday 1-3pm. Rowdy is the commentator.

Here are your choices for the Movie before the midnight swim. The vote will be at 9:25 pm. You may plead your case for your movie of choice on Lucky’s Lake Swim facebook page. Personally, I will be “shocked” if sharktopus doesn’t win.

Jim Sullivan scores his 500 K club cap.

Record Breakers  Nancy Betts  18:21  60-64  Gene Augustin 31:48  85-89  See our lake swim records HERE

Welcome to the 100K club, Paul Chard. Paul was unable to locate his name on the wall of fame so he is a provisional member until he gets his halo of yellow. Ron also breaks the all-time record for photo bombing at Lucky’s Lake swim in this photo. Ron you are the undisputed king of photo bombs – patch to follow.
