The weather was perfect; the preacher was awesome, the volunteers were magnificent, and the food, well, we ran out so it must have been great.(over 320 were served) Thanks to all the efforts of our many volunteers a superb time was had by all. Preacher Tom was able to keep Lucky not only awake but attentive (roughly equivalent to the twelve tasks of Hercules). LCRS had Biosphere plants out for everyone to consider, Joe did the premier showing of his Lake Cane video, Gene flipped pancakes in a speedo (you don’t see that every day nor would you want to), Duck bit someone 22 times (a new record). We had around 400 people in attendance, 150 swam, and 15 were new. And as a bonus, we recruited one new underwater hockey player.
For the excellent news, we raised nearly $4000 for the YMCA youth scholarship program ($600 from a generous donation of proceeds from Rowdy Gaines book signing). Please help us break that 4K barrier by clicking on the link to the PayPal button.

Nicolas Castano set his first world record, being bit by duck 22 times. Most people would stop putting their hands in the pen after two or three bites, but Nicholas wants to be a politician and he kept saying I’ll do it again but this time it will be different. He will make a great senator one day.

Biggest crowd ever for an Easter sunrise service 400+ humans,5 dogs, and what we believe was a capybara.

Rowdy Gaines does a book signing and raised $600 for the scholarship program at the YMCA Aquatic Center, Lucky put some of his best finger painting art up for sale and raised no money and was banned from 3 local Ys.
