Yes the water temperature is now in the high 60s with more folks showing up and a higher percentage of swimmers in wetsuits. That’s correct you read that right. This is the “Lucky’s Lake Swim Paradox” When the water drops below 70 degrees the colder is gets the higher the percentage of swimmers in the lake are without wetsuits. There is a very valid scientific reason for this . . . extreme cold is highly selective for mentally unstable people that are incapable of understanding the need for a wetsuit.
Jerry K. (One of our superstar volunteers checking folks in at the Swim Shack) has started the Aquatic Quote of the Week which he is displaying on the whiteboard each Saturday. If you have a good quote pass it on to Jerry please do so. Lucky contributed the first quote of the week.

Finally we appreciate all the board members that came to the Lake Cane Restoration Society meeting on Thursday. It was great to see such a good turnout and all the great activity. As always Jay ran a super meeting (meaning we finished on time) The food was great!!! Many Thanks to Pammie Sammies. Tom and Jay stayed behind to knock Pam off a ladder, we will see if we can continue to have meetings there . . . likely depends on how fast the swelling of her chin goes down.

Mike Friedman scores his 500K cap. Unfortunately Heff told him he had to ring the bell 500 times to get the cap. We stopped him at ring number 377.

A beautiful shot of a big bird at lake Cane taken by Jacquie Meisenheimer. Then she showed Lucky a video of a mountain goat being hauled off by an eagle . . . and you wonder why Lucky has been swimming in the Swimex.
