Yes we will be swimming on Thanksgiving.  It justifies the gustatory excesses that will occur later in the day. It is also  a bucket list icon that you can add to your Lucky’s Lake Swim R value score.

Thanksgiving Week Swim schedule:

Monday 6:30 AM
Tuesday 6:30AM
Wednesday 7:45AM
Thursday (Thanksgiving) 7:45AM
Friday (Black Friday) 7:45AM
Saturday 7:45AM

I am pleased to announce that the entire Thanksgiving week will be wet suit legal at Lucky’s Lake Swim; black sausage swimmers unite!

Jerry Krannebitter super star volunteer. Thanks to Jerry and all the many other volunteers that make special events possible. Someday we may even see Jerry swim the lake again.

The lighted buoys were a success. Lucky ran into nobody during the swim, of course he was not near anybody with a lighted buoy as he is directionally challenged.

Many thanks to the movers and shakers of the frogman swim. These guys made it all happen . . . except for Lucky who mooched food, won most of the lottery items and spent more time in the hot tub than he did in the lake.

(ed. update - please ignore the small fee comment Heff keeps hacking into the blog. It should read "Photo ops can be taken with each emblem in exchange for interesting vegan recipes provided to Dave Heffernan.

Getting ready for the Frogman swim. My understanding is over $7500 was raised for the Navy Seal Foundation. Strong work to all the participants and volunteers.

Estevan Torres suffered two resuscitated drownings as a child. He has overcome his fear of the water and now is in the 100K club and plays on YCF's underwater hockey team. If that's not an amazing come back story I don't know what is.
