Thirty five swimmers did the “Dynamic Duo” that is swam at Lucky’s at 7:45am and turned around and did Jack Beattie’s lake swim at 10:30. Our lake swim group was well represented with over a 1/3 of the swimmers at Jack’s doing the double. Congrats to Amy Jackson for reaching her 500 crossing milestone and to Pete Gould who can be seen below holding up his imaginary 200K club shirt. We are either out of shirts or someone has misplaced the box holding the shirts. We are having a new design made so it may be a few weeks before we can get back on track. Other milestones include Kevin Hilgendorf scoring his 150 K club cap and Ariel (our underwater hockey recruiter) making his 25th for the white cap.
Professional Triathlete Nina Craft showed up last tuesday for her first swim and broke the record for the women’s 45-49 division with a time of 14:28. She vows to return to break that 14 minute barrier. You can view our record board HERE.
The custom Lucky’s Lake Swim suits are in! If you haven’t picked yours up yet you will find it in the “swim shack” by the dock. If you missed out on ordering a suit you can contact Total Team Wares and they can hook you up 407 644 1333.
The Historic Swim Day had a nice write up in the Southwest Orlando Bulletin you can see the article by CLICKING HERE it is on page 8.
Help our underwater hockey players out by clicking on this link and signing the petition. It’s written in French but I’m pretty sure it is a petition for considering UWH as an Olympic Sport, on the other hand you might be ordering one dozen tapirs from New Guinea (never can tell with those French verbs). Sign the Olympic Petition Here
We can always use more volunteer coaches to help with Special Olympics. You can contact Lucky or just show up at 7:00PM at the YMCA Aquatic Center on Tuesday and ask for Apryle.

Special Olympic season has started if you have thoughts about becoming a volunteer coach talk to Lucky. We practice on Tuesday nights at the YMCA Aquatic Center.

Lucky with Triathlete pro Nina Craft. Nina is a 9 time Ironman winner and the oldest woman to win an Ironman. She broke the Lake Swim 45-49 record with a time of 14:28 which was the 19 fastest time for a woman at Lucky’s Lake Swim.

The emperor has no shirt. Sorry this is what the 200 K club shirts will look like for the next few weeks. Thanks Pete for showing yours off.

35 swimmers completed the “dynamic duo” today swimming both Lucky’s Lake Swim and Jack Beattie’s on the same day. Yes we did a fact check on Ron and he did do both swims. He also tells us it was his 200th crossing at Jack’s.
I counted 36 humans(37 including digger). I am standing to the left of Barb Abney and behind Ron. You can only see just a touch of my green shirt and my 100k cap over Ron’s head.
Letter to the Editor, it would be somewhat cool in some decade to possibly be related to Elliot Gould, but since I truly don’t have a “u” in my last name that dubious distinction won’t come to fruition. 🙂
