Congratulations to Garfield Thomas of Wales, our first person to break a lake swim record for 2015.  He broke the 70-74 record with a time of 18:37.0

The Easter Service/Lake Swim volunteer meeting was a success.  Tom Welch says any lake swimmer that would like to play in the band give him a call.  They still need more volunteers for helping with parking.  Questions regarding the breakfast should be directed to Gene and all complaints should be forwarded to Digger. This year the offering from the service will be donated to Matthew’s Hope, which is a local charity for Screen Shot 2015-03-14 at 2.59.23 PMthe homeless. (Lucky would like to make one serious comment –  our family personally contributes to Matthew’s Hope as we believe it does all the great things a charity should do, spends every dollar wisely, gives the homeless a helping hand up not a handout, and makes an important impact on our local community. Matthew’s Hope is a model for how communities should address the homeless problem. I absolutely love their points program

Garfield Thomas (age74) breaks Parris Van Smith's 70-74 age group record of 27:50 by nearly ten minutes with a time of 18:37.0 Garfield (who is from Wales) complained about our extremely hot water. Think of how fast he could have gone if it was a more tepid 60 degrees.
