Congratulations to Parris Van Smith from Oviedo. Parris broke Ron’s 70-74 record this AM with a time of 27:50. Ron will have to live vicariously through his dog digger for any new records.
Holiday Swim Schedule
Thursday July 3rd 6:30 AM regular swim, 10pm (movie – Sharknado) bring your own beverage and any treats you want to share, or if you don’t want share, wear an overcoat and bring a large purse. Lucky will supply some stale popcorn for those that are too cheap to bring their own refreshments. Midnight (midnight swim)You must watch the movie and do the swim to get the patch. We have special lighted safer swimmer buoys for the midnight swim – very cool. Check out this midnight swim video done by Growing Bolder. Friday July 4th 7:45 AM swim, (Yes we will take a photo of all those that do both the midnight swim and the morning swim – see picture below) 4th of July party 5pm until fireworks – party at Lucky’s and Jacquie’s. Bring something to throw on the grill and something to share – family and friends are welcome. World Water volley ball championships will be held – coin toss for the kids.
Last year only three swimmers had the necessary mental deficits required to do both the midnight swim and then the 7:45 AM swim later in the morning.
Saturday July 5th 7:45 lake swim, Special Olympics swim team pool party 9-11am.
401 carp have been named. We only have 99 more to go. We have a challenge for the carp naming. If we can get the next 89 named by JULY 4th Mary Holloway will name the last 10. Mary has some great names planned so lets make sure she has to use them! Name your carp HERE
I know what you are thinking . . . what the hell is that? Well it isn’t the Zombie Cause’s newest zombie hunting tool (It could be ). This is the world famous WONDER CLAW. Remember the little 3 eyed alien dolls from the movie “Toy Story” that yelled “The Claw, The Claw” well this has nothing to do with that; however this claw could change your life (as the big claw did for the little alien dolls). You have an opportunity to win a Wonder Claw (donated by Ron Davis – Digger’s human) but only if you have named a carp. We will do some drawings at the midnight swim (you don’t have to attend to win but you must have named a carp or your name will not be included). Ron tells me that the value of one of these Wonder Claws is a cool ONE MILLION DOLLARS and if you know Ron and he said it’s worth one million dollars then you know he said it’s worth one million dollars.
