This makes me angry! The hydrilla is now growing in the shape of the middle finger. That’s right, the hydrilla is giving all of our lake swimmers the finger as we swim. We can fight back though with carp.
We have named 330 carp we need to name only 170 more and I can quit harping on carp! The most excellent carp new name of the week is Carp Al Tunnel by Dave Berry. Frankly I am quite shocked that nobody has named any carp after the anthropomorphic characters from that amazingly good TV show THE BANANA SPLITS. Yes, you heard me right nobody has named their carp Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper, or Snorky (my favorite). So if you act quickly you could name your carp any of these names. If you name a carp in the next thirty minutes from reading this post you can name a carp for only $10 and we have a special today name two carp for the price of two. Unbelievable, yes, name two carp for the price of two at $20. Click here and look for the paypal donate button.

Don’t forget the Midnight swim is coming up on July the 3rd at Midnight. We will swim into the fourth of July. The movie starts at 10pm and we swim at midnight. We have several choices for the movie this year (yes you must watch the movie for the midnight swim to count) Sharknado, DinoShark, Sharktopus or The Girls Rebel Force of Competitive Swimmers battle the Undead. I would like your input if you have seen all of these films, and if you have already watched all of these films I would like for you to stay away from my family and close friends.
If we don’t have a another post before the Key West swim, good luck to our swimmers that will be doing the 12.5 mile solo swim, Dave, Tom, Shelly, Sam, and Amy. It was a real pleasure knowing you guys.

Lucky’s Lake swimmers at Jake Beattie’s Lake swim. Many did the dynamic duo completing both swims in the same day.

Congrats to Julio, who is the newest member of the 100 K club. Julio, is moving to St. Louis (well known for all their lake swims) so he got in just under the wire. You will be missed Julio!!

Lucky wins the old geezer division at the Beattie Lake swim. Lucky is standing with Jack Beattie. Lucky would like to thank all of the young fast swimmers that he drafted off of to make this win possible.
Disappointed to miss both of the swims today. Made it to Tennessee safely.
you were missed.
Sharknado is fun. I’ve not seen the others! Sharktopus also seems like an interesting one. Given that there may be a lot of first time Dark swimmers, and you only have so many of the safer swimmers…Do you want us to bring other floaties if we have? My first night swim…I am kind of both terrified and excited all rolled into one.
Any floatation you bring would be great!
