My apologies, but the link to help our fellow lake swimmer Ian Supra in the last blog was a bad link. Contrary to rumor, it did not go to the “Lucky Meisenheimer Party in Cayman Islands fundraising site” (although I can provide that link) I apparently cut and pasted a bit too much information. As my punishment I have agreed not to personally swim the lake again until the water temp hits 70 (extreme I know, but errors must be penalized). Here is the correct link to YouCaring

Widely known as SupraMan, Ian Supra is the guy who can take on the world. With his can-do spirit and big strong muscles this 18 year old has already championed causes for so many others. From volunteering with Special Olympics to leading his team to top-tiered state victories, Ian is the one leaned on by coaches and athletes; students and parents.
His cancer is fierce. Ironically in October he’d had a chest scan that turned out to be nothing but happened to show the liver, which was clear. In January he had trouble swallowing, so much so that he asked his mom to have it evaluated. On January 29 after scopes, scans, and biopsies the news was bad… Stage IV esophageal c-word. In-patient chemo starts on February 11 here in Orlando.
So in a few short months Ian went from selecting a college to selecting a cancer center.
Funds raised will help Ian and his parents offset medical expenses; permit the participation in potential upcoming medical trials, and give those he has helped over the years, an opportunity to help him. – See more at: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/supra-man/135713#sthash.u2wXAC0E.dpuf.
