Ron Davis set the 70-74 age group record today with a time of 39:50. Ron is seen with his posse that accompanied him during the crossing. It was the first time that he had done a crossing without a pull buoy. Ron also tells me that he earned his 200K shirt today as well.
Mary Ann Benton becomes our newest member of the 100K club.
We had over 30 swimmers today (not counting ducks). All but 4 were wearing wetsuits. “In open water swimming it is neoprene that separates the men from the boys”. Famous Open water swimming quote
