This was perhaps the biggest turnout at Jack’s Swim. Sean McCormick won easily for his umpteenth time. Many Congratulations to Sean. We had a bunch of Lucky’s Lake Swimmers participate and over 20 did a double Lucky’s Lake Swim as an appetiser and then Jack’s swim as dessert. Don’t forget to mark you calanders for two important dates. July 3rd movie night (“Bait“) 10PM followed by the 4th annual midnight swim and Aug 17th Hands across Lake Cane.
Over twenty folks did the dynamic double on Saturday. Lucky’s lake swim followed by Jack’s swim and pancake breakfast. Many thanks to Jack, Ernestine and family for these last 24 years.
“Digger the dog” (#3) conquers yet another open water swim and much to the chagrin of some, he out swam many of his human competitors.
The torch has been passed. Lucky got beat for the first time by his 14 year old son Jake/aka Silent Blade from the Zombie Cause (3rd overall). Lucky’s youngest son (Maximus/aka Zombie Boy) vows to beat him next year when he is thirteen. When all of his sons are faster than him Lucky plans on giving up swimming and start knitting, taking up paper mache or delivering that baby that he is gestating.
Amy Jackson gets her 200 K club shirt (which she plans on using as a tent). Amy invites you to come out and join her on Wednesday’s and Fridays at the YMCA Aquatic Center at 7:15 PM to play underwater hockey.
This is a nice watch. I think it will sell well on eBay, but you can have it back if you can identify the serial number on the battery and show me your passport, or you can just grab it out of lost and found when I’m not looking.
