The swimming is awesome in the lake right now either with or without wetsuits. The lake temp should bump into the 70s sometime this week. This is the only time I remember the lake being in the 70s in mid January. So come on over and take advantage of this wonderful weather. How better to torment your northern friends than sending them a photo of you swimming in the lake.
Congratulations to Steve Willis. He finally got his yellow cap. He sat at 148 for three months, then all of a sudden decided to show up to claim his swag. See you in another 3 months Steve.
Big News we are doing a special honors day for all of our 1000K club members (yes that is one thousand K ) on Saturday Jan 25th. If you are a thousand K club member (and can prove it “Ron”) then make sure you show up for your special recognition.

Nice photo by Jacquie on the dock. There is some confusion, water fowl do not have to sign waivers before swimming.
Good Luck to George Mann. George is undergoing shoulder surgery tomorrow. He will be MIA for about three months from the swim.

I tried to repair George’s shoulder problem during a zombie filming shoot . . . I figured I had the knife out why not. George claims it did not help . . . plus I stuck him on the wrong shoulder.
I printed out a copy of the zombie photo and took it in to my one week follow up for my shoulder surgery. I told them that I was surfing the net and found a picture of my operation. They first thought I was serious but calmed down as soon as they saw the photo. Everyone in the office got a good laugh.
The actual surgery went pretty good. Dr. Reuss said that my biceps muscle was also torn in the rotator cuff along with the superspanadus muscle. From the photos, it looked like about 2/3 of the rotator cuff was gone. They drilled holes and stitched and sewed it all back and wired it all together. They said it was a success but it would be about six months before I could get back to swimming. It will be less time to use a kick board but that is dependent on being able to get both arms out in front to hold the board.
For me another bad thing is that I won’t be able to shoot for about the same length of time. I’ll see everyone as soon as I can.
