Lucky’s Lake swimmers had a great day at the first ever open water race in orlando.  The Meisenheimer men lead the way with John Meisenheimer VII capturing the overall men’s 1mile title while Lucky won the overall 800m sprint closely followed in 2nd place by his son Jake. We had several other lucky’s lake swimmers out and most everyone took home some great hardware. Don, Steve, Dave (took 2nd overall in the 5K) and Sam did their first 5K race ever (maybe their last).  Mark Myers had a great race doing the 2K swim unfortunately he was entered in the 1 mile race.  Just looking around at the crowd we guessed about 60 percent of the swimmers were former and current Aquatica swimmers.  The race was run very smoothly with the only complaint that there was not a hot tub waiting at the end (we are so spoiled here).  Definitely a race to attend next year!
